SOUTH WAIKATO PHOTO COMPETITION - JUDGE'S DECISION ARRIVES!!!
Yes, the results of the Spirit of South Waikato photo competition are in!!! Many thanks to our esteemed Judge Michael Ware, Number 1 bridge player in NZ, who has pored over the 16 entries submitted and his decision (which is final, no correspondence will be entered into!!) is as follows:
WINNING ENTRY
This entry drew the favour of the Judge. He felt the waka and scenic beauty represented the South Waikato well and he liked the fern foreground interest. Many congratulations to Putaruru President Eileen Barker and a bottle of wine will be winging its way to you.
SECOND PLACE
The chainsaw theme caught the eye of the Judge and this image as the Judge put it, "representing forestry, farming and hard work" was the worthy winner of the Runner Up slot. Congratulations to Hans Nelis from Putaruru.
THIRD PLACE
The Judge felt showing the use of chainsaws (again - knew I should have asked a woman!) very much a part of the South Waikato region. This amazing compilation was brought together by Willy Ryder from Tokoroa.
All of the photos submitted that are compatible with going into the website banner will be used ... they scroll through a cycle and you should see them all over time. The entries that didn't quite make the Judge's cut on this occasion are shown below.
A great effort by both clubs ... congratulations to you all.
