PATRICIA JOHNSON AND DORA DAVIES 5TH ACROSS THE NATION!

Putaruru came online at X Club Monday night. You can see how your score matched up by looking on the Results tab and clicking on X Club. Find the ladder for Monday night and you will see how Putaruru pairs did against all other X Club members playing the same boards in NZ last night. Congratulations to Patricia and Dora for showing they have the X Factor!

WILLY REVIVES TOKOROA RESULTS FROM TUESDAY

Willy with help from Michael Neels has been able to produce a result for last week. A little uncertain currently as to whether it will be possible to incorporate them into a ladder and keep that result in the series. To Be Confirmed ... but you can see your result although not the board details . Congratulations to Warren and Allen and Vera and Ron Sowden.

WARREN AND RON SECOND ACROSS THE NATION

Not only did Warren and Ron Sowden finish top of the room in Tokoroa last night ... they finished 2nd across NZ. Sandy Davies and rookie Allen Cant finished 5th across the country. This was out of the 150 pairs playing the same hands nationwide last night. Many congratulations to them!
The conclusion of the Welcome Pairs series saw rookie Helen Haigh with seasoned campaigner Ngaire Fisher (on hot form following her return from Alaska - perhaps we should all go?) victorious. Well played ladies!

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2015!!

What a fun night! Mulled wine, food, applause ... a wonderful celebration of our 19 new bridge players for the two clubs. A lovely speech by Anne Berben as she presented Tokoroa with blue tablecloths she had made to thank the club for the support they are giving them providing deals for their club so they can join the X Club. SANDY AND VERA ON TOP FORM AHEAD OF INTERCLUB

I definitely heard Vera say, "You should go away more often" at the half time point in the WAP on Sunday at Morrinsville. They put in an outstanding performance and are clearly on hot form going into next Saturday's interclub competition.

GARY and BARBARA FIRST WINNERS IN X-CLUB

Tokoroa went LIVE across the nation Tuesday night. With their new electronic scoring they were able to not only have their club results recorded, but the scores were then compared across the wider field of other clubs playing the same boards on the same night. So they also competed aganst Hutt, Hamilton, Te Aroha, Invercargill, Te Puke, Papatoetoe. When compared against a larger field variations in the result occur as strange anomalies are ironed out. Congratulations to Gary Cuttriss and Barbara Brammall who were the top placed Tokoroa pairing in 6th position.

INTERCLUB TEAM ANNOUNCED

Putaruru and Tokoroa Bridge Clubs are joining forces to enter the Waikato Interclub Teams event on 4th July. Smaller clubs have been encouraged to join together to form a team and the clubs will be on debut at the start of next month. The Open team comprises Sandy Davies and Vera Verhaegh from Tokoroa with Michael Ware and Mary Ellen Newton kindly stepping in to make up the open section as Putaruru do not at this stage have an open pair.
