WARREN AND GRAEME STAR IN NZ WIDE PAIRS!

Congratulations to Tokoroa's Warren Wilton and Graeme Farrow. Taking part in the Taupo heat of NZ Wide pairs they stormed the field NS in their section. Finishing top of the room on 65.74% in Taupo, their score when converted across the nation became 66.3% leading them to a top 20 finish out of over 950 pairs competing on Friday night. 18th overall in the competition and 8th Open Intermediate pair in the country. FANTASTIC RESULT!

TOKOROA - PUTARURU COMBO RUNNERS UP AT NOVICE TOURNAMENT!

Three pairings from lessons this year took part in the Waikato Bays Novice tournament today, Sunday 18 October. Congratulations to Rodney Vercoe and Dexter Morgan who emerged runners up in their second outing as a partnership, having already braved it along to National Congress. Their 59.9% in the morning session secured them the Top of the Room slot. A steady 52.1 in the afternoon was enough to take out 2nd place in the tournament. Really well played guys! Allen and Helen Cant had a super afternoon finishing second in the room with 58.7.

PUTARURU'S MARIA LEACH 7TH HIGHEST FEMALE PLAYER IN NZ!!

The Baden Wilson Ranks Reports have been released for the 3rd quarter of 2015. For the first 9 months of the year all Masterpoints are accumulated for every player in the country and the top 10 male and female players are announced in their rank on the NZB website. In the rank of Certificate of Proficiency holder, Maria is joint 7th female player across the nation. Congratulations Maria!

NGAIRE FISHER AND WARREN WILTON TIE FOR 6TH AT THE MOUNT

In a strong field of 42 pairs Ngaire and Warren performed consistently with a 56.5% in the morning followed by a 55.1% in the afternoon. This amounted to 6th overall in a large field of strong players. Congratulations to them both.

VERA SECURES SUCCESS AT NATIONAL CONGRESS

Vera Verhaegh from Tokoroa emerged with notable success from the gruelling week long National Congress in Hamilton. Many congratulations to her and partner Malcolm Smith (Hamilton) for taking out 4th spot in the Congress Pairs in a very tough field of 62 pairs.
